Request to upgrade to urgent processing

If your passport application is in progress but you need to travel soon, use this form to request the urgent passport service.

The urgent service:

  • aims to process applications within 3 working days, but this can depend on demand, and factors such as complete and correct information; and a photo that meets standards. Time for delivery is additional.
  • costs an extra NZD $247 per application if the application was submitted online. Otherwise, it costs AUD$286.00 per application when using a paper form via our Sydney office, or GBP£147.00 per application when using a paper form via our London office.

You can pay by debit, credit or prepaid card (for example, Prezzy Card).

For each applicant, including yourself, provide the following information as stated on your application confirmation: application number, full name, and date of birth.

Do not include bank account or credit card information. We will take your payment over the phone.
