Courier fees

Most people won't need to pay a courier fee on top of the passport processing fee. If you are in New Zealand and apply for a passport from here you will not need to pay a courier fee (this includes rural delivery).

Courier fees are charged in New Zealand dollars and range from NZD$15 up to NZD$30.

Applying from Australia or the UK

You won't pay a courier fee if you apply online and live in Australia or in the UK.

The courier fee is also waived if you send a paper application direct to our Sydney or London office. But you will be charged if you send your paper application to New Zealand and need delivery in Australia or the UK. 

Courier fee for the rest of the world

If you need your passport to be delivered to another country you will need to pay a courier fee. The amount is automatically calculated when you complete the online application form.

How much you pay depends on which country you need the passport delivered to. This ranges from NZD$15 up to NZD$30.
