Urgent travel
Need to travel in a hurry? Have your travel plans changed?
If you pay an additional fee and upgrade to an urgent application your passport can be issued within 3 working days. We will use a courier to deliver it, or you can collect it from a Passport office. Standard passport applications can take up to 10 working days, not including delivery time.
Contact us if your travel is extremely urgent, or if it's a family emergency, and we can usually help you even faster.

If you're in New Zealand you can submit an urgent passport application or use our after-hours service (by appointment only).

The New Zealand Passport office in Sydney is able to process urgent applications and provides an after-hours service (by appointment only).

You can contact your nearest New Zealand Embassy, High Commission or Consulate office, or use an international courier to send your application.
