Contact your nearest New Zealand Embassy, High Commission or Consulate office to find out the cost of application.- Write down the amount you need to pay in section 8 of the application.

How to pay
Your application fee must be paid in the currency of the country where your application is being processed.Credit cards
- Credit card payments cannot be processed by New Zealand Embassies or High Commissions – however it may be possible to have your credit card payment processed in New Zealand. Contact the Passport office in New Zealand to request a credit card payment over the phone.

Apply for a replacement passport at no additional charge
The fee for your emergency travel document covers the cost of a full replacement passport, provided you apply before your emergency travel document expires.
To receive your replacement passport, complete either:
- an application for a New Zealand adult passport form, OR
- an application for a New Zealand child passport form.
Send us your emergency travel document, two identical passport photos, and the completed application form. Your application can be sent to:
- the Passport Office in Wellington
- the New Zealand Passport office in Sydney, OR
- the New Zealand Passport office in London.
Avoid additional costs
If your emergency travel document has already expired, you must pay the full application fee when applying for a replacement passport.
