Renew your adult passport - contact and delivery details

We need to know where we can reach you if we need to contact you about your application. You also need to tell us where your new passport is being sent after we have processed your application. You can also give us the details of someone who should be contacted in the event of an emergency while you're travelling.

Your emergency contact

This information is optional but it's a good idea to provide the details of someone who can be contacted in emergency situations.

We recommend that you nominate a person who is not likely to be travelling with you.

The best plans can be upset by a number of problems. Some are impossible to predict or avoid so, by planning ahead and arming yourself with the right information, you can reduce the risks you might encounter overseas.

When will we use your emergency contact details?

  • We can access your information if you have an accident, become sick or are involved in an incident while you are travelling overseas.
  • New Zealand Passport offices overseas, New Zealand Embassies, High Commissions and Consulates can obtain your emergency information by request.

Help us help you in an emergency

For your protection it is recommended that your emergency contact details are written on the last page of your passport in pencil. Keep these details up to date each time you travel.
